Staying at the Carlton Lygon was a delightful experience for my family and me. Located in the heart of dining hotspots and just a short walk from the city center, the hotel is ideally situated for exploring Melbourne. The room, which accommodated us comfortably with two large beds, featured a well-equipped kitchen that allowed for easy meal prep—a must when traveling with a toddler. We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with queries. The 24-hour reception and the tour desk simplified our stay—perfect when planning our city outings. There’s even a nearby park with a playground, which my child thoroughly enjoyed. Although we paid around $500 for three nights, which seemed fair for the spacious, clean room and amenities, it felt like a smart choice with all the family-friendly aspects. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Carlton Lygon proved to be a practical base for our family vacation, making it easier for us to enjoy both relaxation and adventure.
